I'm an insomniac.

But I'm in good spirits tonight. Unlike three nights ago when I lay awake into the wee hours of the morning, dozed off into a warped tangled web of bizarre dreams, and woke barely a few hours later.

I had already anticipated my insomnia- I bought myself the 'Quiet Night dreamy pillow and body mist' from Body Shop. Its active ingredients jujube and chamomile promised a good and restful night's sleep and sweet dreams.

It wasn't potent enough I conclude, because it failed to help in any way. I didn't particularly fancy the tangy smell too- lavender is so much nicer and calming. Plus, the smell disappears quite rapidly after the spray evaporates, so I had to keep re-spraying my pillow and myself. The manufacturer claims on the label that 'night time movement releases the natural fragrance' of the spray. @@#$$??!!

Last night I popped some antihistamine and had a long, blissful sleep.

Now do you see the difference between alternative therapies and modern pharmacy?

Today at the library we were talking about English names. I said I thought I would have to get one. But it's not something you can just buy off the rack like that, it's your name for goodness sake. Wendy would be best because it's the closest to my name, and Wen Yi is Winnie so no clash there. UZ suggested Natalie because it was 'me' in a preppy way.

Going off to sleep now.

This weekend I shall eat something really really nice. :D
